Leading Ukash Casinos

Ukash has discontinued operations and is no longer a viable payment option. Thus, Gambling.com suggests that clients utilize Skrill moving ahead.

Ukash was renowned for mixing parts of regular banking services with the ease of an e-wallet to offer an alternative to traditional banking. In 2015, the payment service giant Skrill acquired the Ukash service (formerly Moneybookers). In turn, Skrill was acquired by the newly rebranded Paysafe Group Plc later that year. Due to these acquisitions, Paysafe Group merged Ukash into their prestigious paysafecard service.

Skrill Acquires Ukash

In 2015, Skrill, formerly known as Moneybookers and now the previous owner of Ukash, agreed to sell to Paysafe Group Plc for one billion dollars. These two companies represented two of the most major payment providers in the gambling sector, therefore the announcement caused an uproar. The elimination of the Ukash service is a common consequence of merging business titans, irrespective of the industry in question.

Paysafe Group Confirms Integration with Skrill

Paysafe Group Plc, which now operates Neteller, paysafecard, AND Skrill, has confirmed their industry-altering acquisition of rival Skrill for around $1.2 billion. The relatively recent acquisition of Ukash by Skrill only increased to the difficulties of the enormous Skill/Paysafe integration, which ultimately led to the demise of the Ukash business.

Ukash is Abolished

Due to the significant changes in the payment service business, it is unsurprising that top-tier payment services have begun to disintegrate and merge in order to survive in the extremely competitive market. Ukash was officially replaced by paysafecard on August 31, 2015, and current coupons could be redeemed until October 31, 2015, the day Ukash was discontinued. Gamers seeking the traditional features of the Ukash service must now use paysafecard or another e-wallet alternative.
